We love a backyard wedding filled with personal touches and DIYs that turn a home full of love into a perfect space for a couple to begin their marriage! And this sure is one beautiful backyard and a stunning couple too! With bright colors accenting the black and white chalkboard signs and stationery (and the groomsmen’s super fun socks!) this wedding was colorful and classic. With naked cakes (yes plural), cupcakes, and a candy bar, this sweet couple’s desserts were on trend and no doubt delicious! And if plenty of sugary goodness isn’t enough, their reception looks like quite the party! Lucky photographer, Katrina Jayne, got to be there to capture all the fun:
This wedding defines DIY amazing-ness. Gabe and Brit both worked with family and friends to design and create their perfect wedding day. They cut fabric for the backdrop of the alter and table cloths, made each of the bridesmaids individual make up stations, and the bride’s very talented graphic designer best friend created the stationary & sign calligraphy…everything was created by the couple and family. Their church hosted the wedding and reception. Their church group helped out with set up, catering, and clean up. There was a huge sense of community and you could feel the love that was surrounding the bride and groom. It was the perfect start to a great marriage.
