A Colorful Fall Wedding Inspired by Oktoberfest

With fall comes cozy home decor, darker lipsticks, beer festivals, and weddings rich in color. Kelly Marie Photography and Joyeux Events decided to combine the latter two in this colorful fall wedding inspired by Oktoberfest. Didn’t think you could mix beer with vows? Think again! A retro truck turned beer caddy is not only a fun addition but something you and your guests will enjoy. Plus, its rustic vibe goes perfectly well with the barn wedding! Below, Kelly shares how it all came together, not surprisingly, seamlessly and beautifully.

Kelly says, Fall means beer festivals! Why not incorporate that into your wedding? With this styled shoot, we wanted to show that a beer festival wedding can be classy as well as fun. Don’t be afraid of bold colors and different textures; let it be your theme! We obsessed over mustard yellow velvet napkins and contrasted them with a bold, striped tablecloth. Field and Pond was perfect for an elegant yet casual setting where guests could sit at a picnic table with their beer and pretzels while our couple wandered the grounds.

Real life couple Daniel and Raven met through photography. Raven modeled for a friend of hers, and when the shoot appeared on social media, Daniel decided to track down this beautiful woman for a shoot as well. “Little did I know a fun day at the beach with my friend and his lens would result in my now happy marriage.” Daniel and Raven began dating in July, and by December, the two were in a courthouse exchanging vows. Though happy to be married, the courthouse experience wasn’t for them. “We didn’t have the whole wedding experience. So that’s why this shoot was so special. We got to go through the motions that we didn’t experience by having a courthouse wedding. Everyone was so kind and the shoot felt very natural and fun. We had a great time!”

Weddings are a time of celebration and laughter. Having a relaxed, casual time with friends is exactly what this shoot was all about.
