All this bride-to-be needs is a leather jacket thrown over her lace, and these two could jet off today on the back of this scooter! Their romantic engagement photos are both classic and cool, but most of all, inspire us to keep engagement sessions simple and fun! You need little more than a chic outfit and each other… but a moped and bouquet don’t hurt either ;). The simple elements come together for a well-rounded, absolutely beautiful, and totally memorable shoot for not only the nearly-weds, but all who see it too! And we think you’ll feel similarly about how Matt popped the question to Nicole…
From Nicole, the bride-to-be…
Matt and I were on vacation in Vail, Colorado and we decide it would be fun to spend a couple days in Moab, Utah. We’re from the East coast and wanted to explore as much as we could while we were out West. We jumped in the car, drove 4 hours to Moab and spent the afternoon hiking Arches National Park. We experienced some of the most breathtaking views we’ve ever seen! After ten miles of hiking and soaking up as much scenery as we could, we were finally headed back to the car. As we made our way back, with the picturesque sun setting over the mountains, suddenly Matt slowed down and turned to face me. He got down on one knee and told me he wanted to spend the rest of our lives together and asked if I would marry him. I was absolutely speechless! “YES!” was all I could get out but thankfully that was just enough to seal the deal!
That night we ended up celebrating with burgers and milkshakes (our favorite) and stayed at Under Canvas Moab, an amazing glamping sight with unreal views of the stars. The staff there knew Matt’s plan and even decorated our tent for us, it was absolutely perfect! We were both convinced the stars were shining just a little bit brighter that night. What I thought was going to be just another day of exploring together turned into the best day of my life!
Nicole and Matt won an engagement shoot giveaway from a dream team of vendors and the resulting shoot is, not surprisingly, perfection! Starting with wardrobe styling by Naina Singla, Nicole wore a classic lace dress and Matt a dapper suit. Nicole’s effortless beauty look was executed by Makeup by Kevan and Jewel Hair Design. And not to be overlooked a gorgeous bouquet by Sophie Felts and adorable scooter completed the shoot all captured by Bonnie Sen Photography.
