If you could epitomize a trend-setting urban wedding – this burgundy Los Angeles wedding at The Millwick downtown would be it. The bride and groom wow us with every well thought out, unique detail! Their style first caught our eye and it translates into every outfit and decoration. The bride wore a timeless, pure white long sleeved gown, while the groom set a new precedent for grooms everywhere in a burgundy suit and floral tie. Oh! And we can’t forget to mention the bridesmaids black & teal floral print dresses! They add even more flair to the already super-cool day.

We chose the venue in part due to its laid back charm and also for its proximity to where we live (typical LA). We love our downtown community, and felt it only fitting that we get married within a couple blocks of our place. Apart from the obvious highlight of marrying my favorite human, one of our other favorite moments is when our officiant (and longtime family friend) referenced The Velveteen Rabbit during our ceremony. As one of our favorite childhood books, it was both sweet and endearing, and a moment we’ll always remember.
Other highlights include the music; Hudson & Delilah performed the perfect soundtrack to our ceremony and cocktail hour, and our DJ, Greg Lanzillotta, put together a phenomenal selection of tracks for dinner and dancing! Late night, after the music, when everyone was getting ready to leave for the night, our friend belted out a beautiful opera. It was all great.
