Travel tends to spike during the summertime thanks to kids on break from school and the appealing climates of many destinations. This list comprises 15 cities to travel to this summer that we love. They boast great beaches, beautiful views, delicious food and boundless adventure.
1. Seattle, Washington
The PNW city gets 10 times more beautiful during the summer months; the weather is warm, the water is beautiful, and it stays light until 10pm. 2. Yosemite National Park, CA
If you’re the outdoorsy type, the summer months are a great time to visit one of the most beautiful national parks – Yosemite! There are plenty of hikes to keep you busy and campsites to pitch a tent or rent a cabin. Did we mention it’s beautiful?

4. Amalfi Coast, Italy
The Amalfi Coast is known for its picturesque beaches and there’s no better time than the summer to visit them! Order an Aperol spritzer and Caprese salad at one of the many seaside cafés.
5. San Diego, CA
The sun, the surf, the sand… what more could you want? Throw in delicious dining options, ocean view hikes, neighborhoods full of character, and plenty of craft beer and coffee to go around, and it is hard to beat. 6. Maui, Hawaii

7. Bali, Indonesia

9. Glacier National Park, Montana
With over 700 lakes and 700 miles of hiking trails, the active traveler will never grow bored in Glacier National Park. But don’t worry, you don’t have to go everywhere on foot. Horseback riding and boat rides are also popular avenues to spot the gorgeous glaciers.
10. San Francisco, CA
There’s nothing quite like summer in San Francisco. The sun finally comes out (most of the time) and there is no shortage of things to do. Take a ferry ride, bike across the Golden Gate Bridge, or sit atop one of the city’s many parks with incomparable views.
11. Juneau, Alaska
The summertime in Alaska is prime time to see the expansive state. Go on a cruise or fly into Juneau to see glaciers, whales, and more, all in the long light of day.
12. Mackinac Island, Michigan
Make your way around by way of horse drawn carriage, bikes, or walking on this car-free island. With old Victorian cottages and plenty of parks for hiking & picnics, it’s full of charm.

Tapas and sangria are calling our name in this culture rich Spanish city. The summer weather also makes the coastal city’s beaches incredibly enticing. Stay here for easy access to the city center.
14. Vienna, Austria
