Gray & yellow, and spotted & striped all over – this safari baby shower on our baby blog takes a grown up spin on the fun theme while still being perfect for the baby boy to-be! Captivatingly Chic Celebrations designed the whole affair and photographed it too! She incorporated wild animals into the decor and green & yellow flowers that match the jungle theme. Even the gifts coordinate all wrapped in yellow and white! Here’s how her vision to shower this momma-to-be came to life!
We decided not to use the typical Safari color palette once we sourced the fabulous gray and white striped plates for a soon-to-be baby boy. We added in golden yellows, touches of green for the extra pop and hues of gray along with the wooden tones of the African animal napkin holders in which the shower color palette became the nursery design. The unique rhino & elephant teapots were turned into flower vases filled with palms, billy balls and ranunculus. Kerrie of Sweet Indulgence, the “Cake Pop Queen” created the adorable Monkey, Rhino and Elephant cake pops for the shower that coincided with the style and not to mention they are super yummy too! We DIY-ed a few details like the cupcake liner balls that hung above the dessert bar, sewed our own linens, created our own envelope liners for the invitations and even stamped and embossed each place card! We also incorporated many of our in-house décor rental items such as the antique dessert bar, cake stands and the chicke! n wire frame for the “Mommy Advice”.
