Chic Gold and Ivory Baby Shower from Sterling Social

I mean you had us at twinkling lights, but this uber chic gold and ivory baby shower is the classiest event for a negative-year-old we’ve ever seen! Hello Sterling Social, you never fail to create such magnificent events!

An evening baby shower set in a rooftop garden in Los Angeles overlooking the Hollywood Hills? Yes, please!!! Sterling Social had the honor of planning this beautiful baby shower for one of their former Bridal Clients this past June. They selected the rooftop of Petit Ermitage in West Hollywood as it was the perfect setting to celebrate the very special Mommy-to-be. The natural garden setting was enhanced with special touches to create a whimsical, fairytale-inspired environment for cocktails, dinner and dessert. A soft color palette of ivory, gold and shades of green were carried through floral and décor detailing, printed materials, and fun Baby Boy accents. The natural rustic elements, such as the dining tables and chairs, were also detailed with a hint of shimmer and sparkle–a favorite of the Mommy-to-be! To bring the setting to life, the wood dining tables were adorned with floral arrangements in loose, garden-like compositions. Natural greens and soft shades of ivory floral popped in clear and gold bohemian containers among various heights of candles. Each place setting was delicately personalized with white hemstitch napkins, gold flatware, eclectic gold rim glassware, and an olive branch place card. Menus in a soft green water color palette displayed the menu offerings for guests and “Make a Wish” mini Voluspa candles were take away gifts set for each guest.

Guests enjoyed tray passed hors d’oeuvres upon arrival and then sat down to a two-course fresh farm-to-table dinner. A decadent, yet playful, dessert display showcased three gold metallic cakes with fun cake toppers saying “It’s a Boy” and “Happily Ever After” against a neutral metallic tassel backdrop. Gold sugar sanded macarons, chocolate-dipped rice krispy treats, s’mores tarts and more offered little slices of “sweets” heaven. As a surprise to the Mommy-to-be, guests enjoyed filling out“Baby Mad Libs” that were then strung on a gold clothes line above the dining tables.
