If this floral wallpaper nursery was in our house, we would sit in it all day! Not only is it beautiful, obviously, but it has the most peaceful air about it. Between the gorgeous chandelier, velvet curtains, gold fixtures, and the floral wallpaper – did we mention the wallpaper?! – it’s fit for a princess. That little princess is Jessi Malay’s baby girl, and also the envy of all of us right now. Designer, Naomi Alon Coe, of Little Crown Interiors, calls it one of her favorite designs ever! And we agree..

Naomi says, Having the opportunity to design Jessi Malay’s nursery was truly a dream! Jessi and Gabriel had just purchased a brand new home in Los Angeles, so I had a completely blank canvas to work with. When I saw the room for the first time, I was thrilled to see that it had lots of natural light and high ceilings.
Jessi knew that she wanted a wallpaper accent wall, and was loving the large floral trend. I showed her a pattern with big beautiful blooms in soft greens, taupes and blush pink and she loved it! From there, the design came together quickly. Her home was on the modern side, but also had some little traditional elements as well, so I chose pieces for the nursery that fell in line with that. We did a modern acrylic crib, but paired it with a dresser and glider that were a touch more transitional in style. I added in gold accents around the room for a touch of glam, and an ottoman with acrylic feet to mirror the acrylic on the crib.

Window treatments were also really important for Jessi, and she wanted to make sure we had a good blackout option. Window treatments can be super expensive and store-bought blackouts can often look cheap, but luckily I was able to find a great velvet blackout curtain that looks amazing and came in a longer length.
My favorite part of this design is the chandelier. The room had a great high ceiling, so it allowed us to fit a big statement chandelier. To finish off the room, we added a little nook in the corner for Alessandra to play and snuggle with her favorite stuffed animals. I chose a great washable faux sheepskin rug and lots of soft pillows to fill out the space.
