Boho has become a consistent theme in everything from weddings to birthday parties, but we especially love it for a baby shower! The bright bohemian soiree on our baby blog today mastered the trend by covering a park with low to the ground ‘tables,’ patterned rugs, and bright floor pillows. We especially love the leather sign scripted with Tim McGraw’s “Humble & Kind” lyrics in white calligraphy. The mama to be wore the perfect bump-flattering white crochet dress with a flower crown that popped and tied her into the party perfectly.
The stylish mama to be of Natalie Dressed shares, I had two primary goals for our baby shower. 1) I wanted it to be co-ed so my husband and all of our friends and family, including the men, could be included 2) I wanted it to feel more like a celebration and showering of love for our daughter rather than a traditional baby shower. Thanks to my mom, sisters, and friend Meghann Miniello, we were able to achieve that! We dubbed the shower “Little B’s Lovefest” to highlight it as more of a party and celebration rather than the traditional female-only shower. It also leant perfectly to the laid back, boho vibe I wanted it to have. I wanted it to feel comfortable, casual, and natural so having it at a nearby park and using different palms and a variation of bright florals worked perfectly and kept things really affordable. To give it the boho vibe I wanted, we used wood pallets and printed rugs and blankets to create casual seating for guests. We also created a little lounge area and photo backdrop that ended up being the focal point. Having street tacos and corn hole kept the day easy, fun, and casual. I think everyone had fun and felt very comfortable and my husband and I left feeling all the love so I’d call the day a success!
