When Olivia’s mom started planning her first birthday 6 months prior to her birthday, she knew one specific thing she wanted to incorporate. Her inspiration was Kelli Murray’s Be Brave owl, and unbeknownst to her, she has an entire line of invite gorgeousness to choose from. They tweaked an invitation she had, adding the headdress to the owl, and went from there! She wanted the party to be dreamy, soft and sweet, just like her little Livi girl. She tried to keep with neutral colors of cream, white and light pink with pops of gold throughout. Her husband and another close friend spent many late nights making the dream catchers, gold dipping the feathers (which they hung from the trees), and making the head dresses for the guests, both for the children and the parents. Her girlfriend Meagan, of MV Florals, did the flowers and they were just gorgeous! In addition to the arrangements she added the flowers to the cakes and made the knit backdrop behind the dessert table. She also painted succulents gold and gold-dipped the pots that that they gave as favors (so cute!). The party was set as a brunch and so they decided to have it ‘picnic style’ with quilts out for guests to grab and lay on the grass to relax and enjoy the food, which her and her mom handmade! Such a cute idea! They even had a teepee set up for the kiddo’s to play in and then other than that, just kept it simple. Our favorite details are definitely the dream catcher cake topper, which they made, the gold high chair, and the birthday girl, of course!
