After a long journey to baby and while in the adoption process, we learned we were expecting our first miracle baby boy, due early February 2019. Sarah Mack Photo, my colleague and good friend was so excited when I shared the amazing news that I was pregnant, while asking her to capture the baby shower. Sarah was even more ecstatic when I shared the baby shower theme: “Lennon” in the Sky with Diamonds for Baby “Lennon” named after my maiden last name “Lennon,” while honoring my family of musicians, including the “Lennon Sisters” and paying homage to the legendary John Lennon from The Beatles.
Guests were cordially invited to the Baby Shower honoring Baby Lennon , hosted at Plaza De Magdalena and Sundried Tomato Catering in San Juan Capistrano. Every detail at the shower, from the stationery to the hanging diamonds with flowers, depicted John Lennon and The Beatles hit song “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds”.
The vintage table scape details from Sundrop Vintage, bohemian floral perfection by The Tangled Vine, custom themed cookies prepared by Charlotte’s Sweet Shop, and furniture rentals from Signature Party Rentals added the sweetest touches. And Jen Simpson Design’s “Lennon” signage hanging from Singature’s hedge wall was the perfect final piece to pull this theme all together. The mama-to-be glowed with make-up by Brown Ann Beautiful. To top it off, the lady shower-goers were given kaleidoscopes as favors to mimic the lyrical theme “the girl(s) with kaleidoscope eyes.” They also posed for Sarah Mack Photo at the balloon garland moon with touches of macramé by We Poppin. I hope you enjoy this Beatles themed baby shower that I think even John and Yoko would be proud of!
