Everybody needs a little more color in their lives, right?? Especially if you’re 10! For this Andy Warhol themed birthday party, Teak & Lace pulled out all the stops! We’re talking custom “Emmie’s Tenth Birthday” soup cans, a lip printed cake, and a banana chandelier. We couldn’t have dreamt of a party this much fun, but we’re sure glad they did! Scroll on to step into this crazy world of color…

To say color is huge right now is an understatement. After a recent trip to Palm Springs we were inspired to dive into the world of POP ART and one of our favorites…… ANDY WARHOL for our daughter Emmie’s 10th birthday. We always believe you need to have something to do at the kids table, so when we found the coolest Andy Warhol Coloring book on Amazon ….we were in! Oh! and the edible banana centerpieces were also a hit.
We designed our POP Dessert Table using our Banana Chandelier (I mean Andy Warhol’s banana art is one of our favorites), a white backdrop, white pedestals, neon and black cake stands & and an acrylic dessert table. Heather at River & Bridge designed a custom soup can graphic for us with Emmie’s name on it that I wrapped veggie cans from our pantry in.
We ordered our cupcakes in neon pink and yellow to go with our theme and DIY’d our own cupcake toppers and wraps. Hansens Cakes did a Warhol Lips graphic on the cake sides and a tiled POP image of Emmie’s Face on the top. I DIY’d the banana topper and the neon “Happy Birthday Topper” is from Target.
Warhol’s lip art is one of his most famous works so why not switch up the typical face painting and do a lip station?! AND… every little girl loves lip stick! The girls thought it was pretty cool and went back for multiple lip changes.
“Art is anything you can get away with” YES PLEASE!!!! We are always looking for new ways to display sweets and our shelf wall can be used in many ways. It was originally made for escort cards but really……anything goes! We completed with Andy Warhol inspired Poppy Cookies.
