This pretty sage green and peach garden party on our lifestyle blog celebrated the launch of the super cute and innovative Marigold and Grey wedding welcome baskets! This is the perfect way to treat your guests on your wedding weekend, so naturally, the party incorporated a floral favors station where guests could fill canvas bags with flower seeds – so cute! With an abundance of flowers and floral inspired cocktails and foods too it’s a heavenly scented, pretty-in-peach, rosey affair.
From the planner, Kruse & Vieira Events…
For Jamie’s launch party, we wanted the event to reflect her warm personality and tasteful, artisanal welcome baskets her company, Marigold and Grey puts together. An afternoon floral garden party provided the perfect theme to bring that ambiance to life. Design elements of white wicker signage, floral and sage green linens, gray washed terra cotta, and overflowing florals in soft peach, ivory, blush, and a bright marigold came together to create a cohesive garden look. A vintage lounge by Something Vintage provided a place for guests to rest and chat while adding an elegant touch to the relatively raw, industrial space that is The Loft at 600 F Street. Calligraphy by Poppy & Scooter adorned all signage and added a whimsical, feminine air. Blooms by Kruse and Vieira Events brightened up the space and gave nod to Marigold and Grey’s signature colors and namesake.
In addition to the abundant floral arrangements, blooms abound from the drinks to the food to the favors. One of the first elements we decided on and what really became a highlight of the party, aside from the smiling hostess herself, was the floral bubbly bar where guests had the choice of accenting their champagne with one of several floral simple syrups and garnishes. A signature cocktail drawing from the company’s moniker, “The Marigold” featured grapefruit juice, bubbly, and edible florals. Heirloom DC catering took the theme to heart and provided an abundance of garden fresh appetizers highlighting the season’s best ingredients such as the Sweet Pea and Parmesan Profiteroles. The large crudité station pulled inspiration from local farmers markets just starting to kick into gear and offered an array of fresh produce and tasty dips. The Floral Seed favor bar mimicked the easy and customizable process featured on Marigold and Grey. Guests were invited to scoop up their favorite floral seeds into a variety of containers and then wrap with various ribbon, twine, and sticker accents.
