This vibrant backyard fiesta designed by Studio DBI and photographed by Michaela Joy Photo will have you wanting to add a Mexican flair to your weekend BBQ. Or at least serve a delicious mezcal margarita! But this isn’t just any fiesta, its decor and menu give it an upscale feel. Bright coral, yellow gold, and pale pink florals & cacti adorn the table alongside cobalt blue glassware and festive paper goods. Not to mention, the team prepared a spread of fresh salsa & guacamole and placed bowls of tiny churros at each place setting! Finally, cootie catchers (remember these?!) add a fun additional touch. There is plenty here to enjoy and inspire your next backyard party!
From Studio DBI, We love any excuse to throw a fiesta. For this backyard celebration, we were inspired by the bright colors found in Mexican pottery. I love pairing traditional elements with modern accents, so we created a neutral table setting to allow the flowers, stationery, and food really pop. And it wouldn’t be a fiesta without a signature Mezcal cocktail. We used seasonal ingredients to create a spicy drink perfect for an outdoor celebration. Throw in miniature piñatas, confetti, and mini churros, and it’s a full on party!
