We know what parents who are staying up late to assemble their kid’s gifts really want on Christmas Eve! A milk (or chocolate milk) cocktail alongside holiday cookies, of course! These yummy takes on good old fashioned milk feature RumChata for a boozy twist. We paired a spiced RumChata steamer with gingerbread cookies and a chocolate-chata topped with whipped cream and sprinkles paired with chocolate peppermint dipped cookies – YUM. And there you have it – the perfect boozy holiday milk & cookies!
There are so many times and reasons to enjoy these festive treats! For a chilly night by the fire or a holiday soiree, these libations are great all season long! You can also mix up one of these cozy cocktails on a cold night. And on Christmas morning serve a coffee cocktail or FrappaChata!
If you do decide to serve the boozy milk & cookies at a party, set up a cute cocktail bar where guests can have fun mixing their own drink and adding their own toppings. We decorated our set-up with sparkly ornaments, holiday coasters, bright red napkins, and striped straws that look like the North Pole! Hint: You can pick all these items up at the dollar store! Before everyone arrives, set out the sprinkles, chocolate syrup, whipped cream, and assortment of cookies. Oh! And don’t forget the holiday tunes!
Spiced RumChata Steamer
A warm & creamy drink with just the right amount of spice! What’s not to love?
Ingredients
Hot Water
RumChata
Cinnamon
Nutmeg
Directions
Fill a mug with equal parts hot water and RumChata. Top with a sprinkle of cinnamon and nutmeg. Then, dip Mr. Gingerbread and enjoy! RumChata is made with distilled rum from the Caribbean, the finest real dairy cream, and the best spices from around the world, giving this drink all the yummy flavor it needs.
For a cookie recipe, try these dunkers! You can never go wrong with a dipped cookie or classic gingerbread. Plus, who doesn’t love options?!
Chocolate-Chata
No one ever grows out of a love for chocolate milk. This grown-up version can be sipped hot or cold.
Ingredients
RumChata
Chocolate Syrup
Whipped Cream
Sprinkles
Any other favorite toppings
Directions
Mix RumChata with chocolate syrup for your desired richness (we like a lot!). Top with whipped cream and red & green sprinkles. You can also make it your own by heating it up for a boozy take on hot cocoa. Other variations include using caramel sauce, or adding crushed peppermint on top! It’s chocolate milk… but way better! Don’t forget to dip your cookies! 🙂
For a more icy version of this drink (frozen hot chocolate, anyone?), blend FrappaChata, a yummy pre-mixed coffee RumChata beverage, with ice and chocolate syrup. Use the same toppings and enjoy. Anyone’s mouth watering yet??
