Today we’re sharing an event that is not only unique and inspiring but looks just downright fun! Mood Events took the unique and uplifting approach of doing a Southern Style Gospel Brunch and ran with it for a recent 40th birthday party. The extraordinary occasion took place at the renowned and historic Fire House and Hotel Pontchartrain in downtown Detroit and it was a day filled with all kinds of special, lovely and southernly feminine touches that could only be inspired by the beauty found south of the Mason-Dixon Line. Custom-made water colored invitations on ivory textured linen paper, an eclectic mix of bright and bold specially handcrafted paper flowers of every shape and size, colorful and dramatic tables in various shades of pink along with other spring pastels, delectable and sophisticated brunch-worthy eats, classy cocktails and old fashioned sweet tea and let’s not forget the Grammy-award winning entertainment complete with an actual church choir. Needless to say it was an event fit for a stately Southern Belle and everyone spent an enjoyable afternoon kickin’ up their heels!
