In my opinion Dandelion and Grey wins “Cutest Wedding Blog Award”! I’m so inspired everyday when I visit it and it’s great that Erin was willing to be a guest blogger for me while I’m away. Thanks so much Erin!
I chose the topic of “Inspired by.. Details from the 1930’s”.
I’ve always been a fan of this charming era where fashions were sophisticated and details were sweet. The 1930’s are full of classic ideas that can be incorporated into a wedding or event. Combining decade appropriate decor, such as silhouettes, vintage china, antique cameras, Remington typewriters and romantic gramophones with personal details brings a certain warmth to the event and creates a visually stunning scene.
I envision guests driving through beautiful countryside & overgrown roads finally arriving at a beautiful old chateau surrounded by trees.
A simple + chic wedding dress would pair beautifully with stunning shoes adorned with silk ribbon and a dramatic hat by Twigs & Honey.
Pretty details scatter along the bride’s vanity and guests are directed to the ceremony site with a darling wooden sign, placed among overgrown flowers.
Thoughtful, handwritten escort cards placed in an old desk organizer, mimicking mail slots, allow guests to find their table.
A simple bouquet is perfect for the intimate occasion & a sweet idea for unique favors is patina’d, vintage silverware tied casually with pretty silk ribbon.
